Continuous Monitoring Station

The Lower Camp Air Monitoring Station is situated by the Athabasca River Valley, North of Suncor and East of Syncrude (Latitude, Longitude: 57.026792,-111.500819).
The Lower Camp station contains analyzers that continuously measure Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Total Hydrocarbons (THC), wind speed and direction, visibility, relative humidity, and temperaure. At Lower Camp, the WBEA also operates samplers for the non-continuous parameters PAHs and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) on behalf of Environment and Climate Change Canada.
