Continuous Monitoring Station

The Fort Hills Air Monitoring Station is located near a pond approximately 6km SW of the Suncor Fort Hills main plant (Latitude, Longitude: 57.34890015, -111.63969085).

The Fort Hills station contains analyzers that continuously measure Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Total Reduced Sulphur (TRS), Nitric Oxide (NO), Total Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Total Hydrocarbons (THC), Non Methane Hydrocarbons (NMHC), Methane (CH4), Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM2.5), wind speed and direction, relative humidity, and temperature. Time integrated sampling includes Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Particulate Matter 10 (PM10) samplers.
