Continuous Monitoring Station

The Fort Chipewyan Station is a community station that overlooks Lake Athabasca on the outskirts of Fort Chipewyan (Latitude, Longitude: 58.709236, -111.174994).

The Fort Chipewyan station contains analyzers that continuously measure Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Total Reduced Sulphur (TRS), Nitric Oxide (NO), Total Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Ozone (O3), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM2.5), global radiation, leaf wetness, wind speed and direction, relative humidity, and temperature. Time integrated sampling includes Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), Particulate Matter 10 (PM10) and Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM2.5) samplers.
