Each year, the WBEA releases a series of Community Factsheets which provide “at-a-glance” insight of specific parameters from each community Air Monitoring Station in the region.

Concentrations of ozone (O3), sulphur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), total reduced sulphur (TRS), and fine particulate matter (PM2.5) are compared between stations, and with limits outlined by Alberta Ambient Air Quality Objectives and Guidelines (AAAQO/G).

Visit Monitoring Objectives and Requirements to learn more about AAAQO/G, as well as other environmental standards and guidelines.

Factsheets also provide an annual summary of the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) for each community. Learn more about AQHI here.

*2024 Community Factsheets will be released in early 2025.
