Continuous Monitoring Station

Surmont Air Monitoring Station is located at the ConocoPhillips Surmont SAGD facility (56.177986, -110.935606). The Surmont monitoring station was installed as a permanent monitoring station in September 2017, replacing the role of a portable air monitoring station.

The Surmont station continuously measures Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Total Hydrocarbons (THC), Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Nitric Oxide (NO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM2.5). Temperature, wind speed and direction, and relative humidity are also continuously measured.
