The Wood Buffalo Environmental Association presented a wide-ranging suite of technical and scientific papers at the Air & Waste Management (A&WMA) Association?s 103rd International Annual Conference & Exhibition, held at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre, June 22-25, 2010.The theme of this year?s conference was ?Energy and Environment?.

Scientific papers were presented on a range of related topics to the over 2000 environmental professionals attending. The WBEA sessions generated a great deal of interest from representatives of industry and government, scientists, and environmental managers at the A&WMA conference.

The scientific monitoring approach the WBEA has adopted to fulfill its mandate and vision was evident. Papers were presented on many diverse aspects of WBEA?s work including the air quality monitoring network, air quality data management and reporting, quantifying heavy-duty diesel emissions, and soil and lichen analysis.
