WBEA uses Portable Air Monitoring Stations to measure air quality in locations where a permanent air monitoring station does not exist. The Sawbones Bay portable is currently deployed at the Meg Energy Christina Lake Project (Latitude, Longitude: 55.404, -110.4220).

The Sawbones Bay portable measures Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Nitric Oxide (NO), Total Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Particulate Matter 2.5 (PM2.5) wind speed and direction, temperature and relative humidity.
