Current Wildfires & Hazard Update - September 29, 2011

The wildfire approximately 20 kilometres south of Fort McMurray (MWF 075) is classified as under control at 581 hectares. This means that the fire has received enough suppression action to ensure no further spread. Two helicopters, 80 firefighters and various heavy equipment are on scene today.

The wildfire approximately 20 kilometres south of Fort McMurray (MWF 075) has not grown significantly due to firefighters' quick response, lower temperatures and higher humidity. The size remains approximately 581 hectares. Six helicopters, 80 firefighters and various heavy equipment are on scene today.
