The Muskeg River Air Monitoring Station is located approx. 4 km southeast of the decommissioned Albian Mine Air Monitoring station (57.249092, -111.508653), and commenced operation in February 2009.
The Muskeg River station contains analyzers that continuously measure Sulphur Dioxide (SO2), Nitric Oxide (NO), Total Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Total Hydrocarbons (THC), wind speed and direction, relative humidity, and temperature. Time integrated sampling includes Particulate Matter 10 (PM10).
