Ambient Air Guidelines & Health Info
Alberta Environment establishes Ambient Air Quality Objectives (AAQO) under section 14(1) of the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act (EPEA).
The EPEA allows Alberta Environment to develop ambient air quality objectives to protect Alberta’s air quality. These objectives, as they pertain to WBEA’s air monitoring program, are identified in the table below.
